General Information – The Bexhill Physiotherapy Clinic

There are 2 Chartered Physiotherapists, both Senior Musculoskeletal (MSK) Practitioners and both registered with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) associated and working from The Bexhill Physiotherapy Clinic.

Opening Times

Monday: 8:30am – 17:30pm

Tuesday: 8:30am – 17:30pm

Wednesday: 8:30am – 17:30pm

Thursday: 8:30am – 17:30pm

Friday: 8:30am – 17:30pm

These appointment times may change for example, in-service training takes place on a Wednesday afternoon once a month – and then the clinic is closed.

What to expect & things to take into consideration

– Following issued Guidelines all patients will be triaged by telephone. This call can last for up to 60 minutes for those patients new to the clinic.

– The telephone consultation encompasses our scope of practice for musculoskeletal (MSK) presentations, including neck and back pain, shoulder and upper limb disorders, hip and lower limb disorders, with an emphasis on headache management, pain management together with advice on exercise and progressive rehabilitation.

– Anyone can call the clinic for a telephone consultation and if both parties agree on the terms of the telephone interview a fee will be chargeable.

The Physical Consultation Process

Face to face contacts are now being provided within the guidelines of both the CSP and HCPC, and it is expected that patients would not spend so much time in the clinic room as most of the clinical information will have been collected prior to their visit via phone consultation.

Appointment Duration

Please allow 45 minutes for your Initial/First Appointment with the physiotherapist.

It is usual for the therapist to allocate up to 30 minutes for your second and any follow up visits.

Please remember that you are not purchasing the therapists time but their expertise and clinical knowledge, i.e if your follow up session takes 20 minutes and that is all that is required, the fee still remains the same as it would if your follow up session took 40 minutes.

What we expect from you

If you wish to cancel or change an appointment, please do this within 24 working hours of your allotted time.

This clinic does have a cancellation policy and if any appointments are changed or cancelled in under 24 working hours of the allotted time, will be charged.

Please ensure that you always take a printed appointment slip with you if a further appointment is required.

Severe Weather Policy

In the case of severe weather such as snow etc. the clinic will endeavour to remain open. We will contact you as soon as is possible to inform you that the clinic is closed. If you are not able to make it to the clinic please let us know as soon as possible so that we can make plans to see others either earlier or later. Also bear in mind that your therapist might not be able to make it into the clinic if you are not able too.

Cancellation Policy!

This clinic does levy a fee from those patients missing an appointment unless they have given 24 hours notice. This fee is 50% of the treatment cost. Please contact us as soon as possible if you are unable to make an appointment so that this can be offered to other patients on the waiting list. For those patients who are referred to us from accident claim companies, please note that the clinic does not get paid for any missed appointments. We would therefore ask that you let us know in advance if you cannot attend.
